Frequently Asked Questions

WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE?

That's a good question! Check out this page to learn more about us. In short, we're a bunch of folks who make free audio dramas.

ARE THESE SHOWS PAID?

Currently, all of our shows are volunteer-based. However, we do have a Patreon. If you become a patron, you can get some cool behind-the-scenes stuff before the rest of the world gets it. You also get access to a super-secret channel in the Dining in the Void Discord server where you get better access to certain network members...

CAN I APPLY TO BE PART OF THE NETWORK?

Thank you for your interest! You can check this page out for cast and crew calls as well as our network's twitter page.

DO WE NEED TO BE 18 TO AUDITION FOR ONE OF YOUR SHOWS?

It depends on the casting call. Some shows may contain content that is not suitable for anyone under 18, so if this is the case, it will be stated explicitly in the call.

I HAVEN'T HEARD BACK YET ABOUT MY AUDITION. DID YOU RECEIVE IT?

Depending on the director in question, you may or may not receive a confirmation of submission. In all likelihood we did receive it. However, there's a few things to do if you're still unsure:
1) Double-check the call and make sure you sent it to the correct address. If you discover this after a call's deadline, we cannot accept any resubmissions. It is up to each auditionee to make sure everything is in order on their end.

2) Make sure the email sent in the first place. Services like Outlook and Gmail tend to send out error emails or messages if your email bounces.

If your audition did go through, and you have not received an update within a few days of the call deadline, please email us again and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Please DO NOT contact any network personnel via Discord, Twitter, or Tumblr regarding audition status; you will not receive a response.

HOW DO I AUDITION FOR A ZEBULON PODCASTS SHOW?

When we need actors for a show, we post a casting call on the show's Twitter account and reblog it on our network's Tumblr. It will also be on our Auditions page. Each casting call will have different requirements, so please make sure to read all instructions. In the event that the showrunners do not receive your audition, you may be asked to send a backup version to our main email.

I'M NOT A VOICE ACTOR, BUT I'D STILL LIKE TO GET INVOLVED. CAN I?

The short answer is, yes, and we appreciate your interest a lot. The long answer is, it depends on what we need; sometimes, our shows will put calls out for crew members. These calls will explain the requirements and what to include in your application, like with a casting call.

If you have any burning questions that weren't covered by this FAQ, please contact us here. We'll get back to you as soon as we can.
