Galatea is a haughty, dramatic model known for her ivory-colored skin and (often) drunken behavior. Having come from the construction planet Dryspin, her 'rags to riches' backstory (and beauty) should make her humble in theory, but it's her way or the highway. She'll seduce anything and anyone who's down for it. Those who anger her rarely emerge without a scrape or two.

Sawyer is the CEO of Green Globe Industries, credited with single-handedly saving space travel. He is a natural leader, but he will protect himself and his family first. He has a daughter, Gi, and a husband, Elory, who he video-calls (almost) daily. Although Sawyer is flush with cash, he doesn't flaunt this around others.

Mars is a research doctor from Earth who has researched and cured several notorious diseases, including one that infected their sister Phoenix. Elory Green is Sawyer Green's husband and Gi's birth parent, being of the same species as both of them. He takes care of Gi while his husband works. Although he may seem weak-willed compared to Sawyer, Elory has impeccable timing and can save any awkward moment; he also doesn't let others walk all over him, least of all his family.

Phoenix

She approaches the world with a wide-eyed innocence, but since becoming infected with the fatal virus Mortemlux C, she tries her best not to show her suffering.

On occasion, Tala's programming kicks in and overpowers her normal personality. In this state, she can provide no direct assistance to anyone besides the host and is at the host's mercy. Monotone-Tala mostly shows up to deliver clerical information such as system errors or contamination warnings.

Talanova is an Efran with PSV (Prolonged Suffering Virus) who won a trial held by the mysterious Family. When they did not convert her as promised, she elected to do so herself, with help from a robot called Glish. Talanova was dating an Efran named Adley and had a family before her death; in her final recorded message, she expresses regret for leaving them behind. Some of her memories crop up in the AI Tala's files.

Glish is an AI who uses a robotic body. They are, in Tala's words, a "friend of the Family." They do not communicate verbally but can communicate in some fashion; in her final recorded message, Talanova responds to them as if they are speaking. Glish helps her convert herself into an immortal AI, but according to Tala, they disappeared after the two are caught by the Family. Their current fate is unknown.

She's killed by a masked assassin not long after the public humiliation and execution of Zell, Waverly's shapeshifter girlfriend.

Zell is self-assured, confident, and good at compromising. As a shapeshifter, she often shifts to disguise herself, escape hunters, or make her girlfriend Waverly laugh. Zell's sentence for her "treason" (her relationship with the then-princess) is humiliation in front of the entire planet, followed by her execution.

Masl also does not take well to people scoffing or making fun of works of art.
